<\/p>\nAs the Toronto Raptors prepared to tip off their 2019-20 NBA season on Tuesday night, they first celebrated their 2019 NBA title by raising a championship banner to the rafters at Scotiabank Arena and presenting players, coaches, and front office staff with championship rings in a pregame ceremony. The Raptors\u2019 2019 World Championship Rings were crafted by Canadian company Baron Championship Rings.<\/p>\n

Earlier this summer, jewelry designer\u00a0Jason of Beverly Hills talked to\u00a0Robb Report<\/em> about how championship rings have evolved from gaudy keepsakes to one-of-a-kind collector-level pieces over the last decade. In addition to the 1.25-carat diamond that sits atop the Larry O\u2019Brien trophy on its face, the ring boasts over 650 individual diamonds\u201474 of which represent the team\u2019s regular-season and playoff wins. That equals a stunning 14 carats worth of diamonds, another record for a championship ring.<\/p>\n The ring\u2019s face also depicts the Toronto skyline, the Scotiabank Arena, and the team\u2019s chevron logo. Around the ring, there are 16 rubies and 16 jersey numbers, each representing a player on the championship-winning roster. The Raptor\u2019s postseason series records are engraved inside the ring, along with a maple leaf with a ruby representing Canada at its center.
